Very Disappointing Visit to St Dogmaels Abbey

点评：We visited on a warm and sunny Saturday afternoon, hoping for an interesting experience. The site was relatively quiet with only a few visitors, which made for a calm atmosphere. The Abbey ruins were exactly what we anticipated, though the overall experience fell short of expectations.
The church provided a nice moment of respite, offering some tranquility. However, the signage around the Abbey was in poor condition—weathered and practically unreadable—which made it difficult to fully appreciate the history behind the site.
The small "museum" didn't help either as it was in darkness. This was a shame, as it looked like it could have added some context to the visit. The attached cafe wasn’t particularly welcoming or inviting either, which added to the overall sense of neglect.
It is clear that management needs to put more of an effort into maintaining and showcasing this site. There was little in terms of prideful displays or well-kept facilities, which was disappointing.
Overall, it’s a visit we won’t be repeating anytime soon, and we left feeling that this site has a lot of untapped potential that isn’t being properly cared for.
