点评：As you walk up to Nymphenburg Palace, the first thing that hits you is the sheer beauty of the place, stunning architecture paired with a peaceful lake that makes the whole scene feel like something out of a postcard. We even spotted a wedding couple with their photographer, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better backdrop for such a big moment.
If you really want to make the most of your visit, grab the combo ticket, it gives you access to all the areas, including the museum and an audio guide, which helps bring the history to life. Just a heads-up: wear very comfy shoes or trainers. The grounds are massive, and you’ll be doing a fair bit of walking. Half a day is a good amount of time to soak it all in without rushing.
There are places to grab food and drinks, though we didn’t try them ourselves, they looked busy and popular, so probably worth a go. Lockers are available too, which is handy since you can’t carry big bags or rucksacks around. I think they’re free or just need a returnable €1 coin.
The staff at the entrance were super helpful and gave us great tips on how to plan our time. If you’ve got kids around 6 to 10 years old, just be aware they might get a bit restless—lots of buildings, paintings, and statues to look at, which might not be their thing.
All in all, if you’re after a slice of Bavarian culture with a bit of grandeur and a lot of charm, Nymphenburg Palace is a solid choice.
