Krakow Auschwitz - Tours的点评
点评：We booked this and met at the site as we drove there ourselves by hire car. We were told to meet at 11am and were greeted on time by staff and transported to the Auschwitz site which is a short distance away by mini bus. We were given stickers to wear to identify our group. On arrival, we were shown to the entrance, given tickets and shown through security. Please note, you must take a proof of photo ID as you have to go through an airport security check before entering. We met our guide who was excellent (Martha I think her name was) and we were shown around the museum wearing headphones and a listening device. It is an absolute must see to believe- poignant, moving and at points harrowing but a piece of history that needs to be seen to be fully believed. The guide was informative, respectful and it was all very smoothly and well organised. It is a must to wear comfortable shoes as you are on your feet for a number of hours. After leaving Auschwitz, there was a short break before the short bus journey back to the meeting point where there was a toilet stop and time to grab a snack. Birkenau is a short walk from this point and then a walk around the site which is all outdoors. It was wet and windy on our chosen date and the ground was muddy so again, footwear choice is essential. If in Krakow this experience is not to be missed!
