斯图加特斯图加特国立美术馆的点评
点评：The Staatsgalerie is located centrally in Stuttgart on Haupstatter Straße.
It’s a short walk from Hauptbahnhof.
The collection of art in the gallery is vast. Primarily German as you would expect, but also excellent Impressionist and Post Impressionist work too.
I liked the Henry Moore sculpture outside the entrance, and also paintings by local artists Oskar Schlemmer and Willi Baumeister.
Other German artists such as Franz Marc, Paula Modersohn and Max Beckmann were well represented as well as Impressionist/ Post Impressionist work by the likes of Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Camille Pissarro amongst others.
I concentrated on viewing primarily 20th century art and enjoyed it immensely. To take everything in would take at least two or three visits.
Admission fee is €7 but free with a Stuttgart card. The gallery is closed on Mondays.
