Impressive Church Worth a Stop

点评：We were very impressed with Cologne Cathedral and after doing some quick research found there was an even taller church tower in Germany and felt it was worth a stop as we did our road trip around Germany. The Church is full of artifacts and paintings dating back to medieval times. It has a very cool Gothic design which includes gaps in the tower.
The steeple stands out as soon as you get close to Ulm because it dominates the skyline. There are also lots of wide pedestrian areas around the Ulm Münster so you can get good views on all sides but the best view is from Münsterplatz.
There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops nearby. We parked in the underground city hall parkade which has an exit within 100 meters of the church and costs 1.5 euros per hour. We would recommend at least 30 minutes inside and around the church and even longer if you plan to do the tower. The church is free to enter, donations are suggested and there is an extra fee for the tower climb. We didn't do the tower here but would if we had more time. The City Hall is very close as well so you can plan to spend a good amount of time in this historic area of Ulm.
