点评:The Leger artworks, particularly the ceramic pieces are wonderful. The museum itself is a pleasing building with glorious Leger mosaics on the exterior and set in a lovely garden.
BUT the Museums Cote d'Azur website and the Musee Leger's own website both state Summer opening hours till October as 10am ~ 6pm. This wasn't the case. We arrived at 11 am but the place closed at 12 noon till 1.30pm. This would have been Ok if we could have got a drink and some food but the buvette/snackbar was a tumble down shack that obviously hadn't been in business for a couple of years. As we were directed to leave from a different exit we left our confiscated water at the entrance security so had no access to it. We were very dehydrated and hungry by the time we were allowed back into the museum to see the upper floors which we hadn't had time to see .
Moral of the story, phone the museum before your visit to ascertain the correct opening times and take your own refreshments especially if, like us you will be travelling buy bus.
The handwashing facilities in the ladies had no water so everyone had to use the Gents toilet to wash.
Don't let my negative comments stop you from seeing the works by this fantastic artist but get there when it opens at 10am or 1.30pm to see it all or take your own drinks etc.
