50/50 Disappointing/Fabulous

点评：We came to see the Art Deco House, the exterior of which is fabulous, sadly (for me) the interior has mainly been covered over in order to display items that are beyond my comprehension. I had expected the interior to pay homage to the fabulous artistry of the era, furniture, objects plus information on the building of the house and it's inhabitants. What we found was boarded over fireplaces and almost empty sub-divided rooms populated with wall hangings and objects from different times and tastes.
The grounds are fabulous, including the Art Deco pools, the tree walk and the lake. We even went and met the chickens and turkey.
Lunch in the restaurant was excellent, a set price for the buffet of marvellous wide variety of fresh produce, both hot and cold.
We didn't need to enter the modern art gallery to know it wasn't for us.
