Family New Year's Trip to Machu Pichu and the Sacred Valley

点评：Flavio went above and beyond expectations for us. Flavio has a kind, gentle personality and boasts a wealth of knowledge about his country’s history, politics, flora, and fauna. Passionate about everything Machu Picchu, he regaled us with countless fascinating tidbits about everything from Incan agriculture to Peru’s flowers and birds.
The first day of our trip Flavio picked us up from our hotel in Cusco, gave us a detailed historical tour of the Incan ruins, Saqsaywaman, and then took us to visit a nearby Alpaca farm. On the way to Pisaq, we stopped for lunch at one of his favorite restaurants with the most breathtaking views. The following day, Flavio arranged for us to visit a local Andean family who cooked for us using their traditional, Pachamanca method of cooking. While our food cooked, we joined in their dance, and learned how they weave their textiles from alpaca.
On our third day, Flavio planned for us to hike the last day of the the Inca Trail to the Sun Gate and Machu Pichu. It was an experience of a lifetime. Our teenagers told us that it was the best experience they have ever had.
At one point, I fell and needed medical attention. He found a doctor and stayed by my side for hours helping to translate. What an exceptional person and tour guide who we highly recommend. At one point during our trip, I fell and was injured and needed a doctor. He found a local doctor and stayed with me for hours to help translate. What an exceptional person and tour guide. We were truly fortunate to have had Flavio as our guide for our family trip. It was the experience of a life time.
