点评：We visited Meghalaya during the first week of January, and we’re so glad we decided to include the Sacred Forest and David Scott's Trail in our itinerary at the last moment, based on the suggestion of our amazing driver and guide, Dashem. These two locations were absolutely unforgettable!
Sacred Forest is a place where tradition and culture thrive, offering a deep connection to the past and nature’s timeless beauty. The peaceful ambiance, the rich history, and the lush surroundings made it a truly spiritual experience.
Then, there was the David Scott’s Trail—an old trade route that took us through breathtaking views and a step back in time. It was incredible to walk along such a historic path while soaking in the stunning landscapes that made it all the more magical.
What made this experience even more special was Dashem, our driver and guide. He was with us the entire time, ensuring we had everything we needed. His expert knowledge of the area, paired with his warm and friendly demeanor, made us feel like we were exploring with a family member rather than just a guide. Plus, Dashem has a treasure trove of offbeat spots that we wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. His recommendations went above and beyond, making this trip truly extraordinary.
