David Scott Trail的点评
点评：The trail is long, but is easily doable for anyone with reasonably good stamina. The trail passes through varying landscapes interspersed with bridges, lakes and serene villages along the way which are a must see for everyone into nature and hiking. The smiles of villagers grazing their cattle, school children passing us by after school, and pretty birds greeted us along the way. The trail starts at Mawphlang and ends at Ladmawphlang with breathtaking mountain views. So glad we did this trail!
There are no shops along the way so please carry plenty of water, ORS and protein bars to keep you going. A guide is mandatory for this trail, and one will be assigned at the ticket counter. Our guide Mr. Matti, a young man in his early 20s, was cheerful and knowledgeable, and kept us motivated and entertained throughout with tales of local traditions, customs and the history of the trail. He even managed to stop at a village and arrange Maggi for us!
We could not have done this without our driver and guide, Mr. Banshan. He dropped us at the starting point and picked us from the end point. Banshan is part of a group of like-minded friends who run local travel experiences under the Instagram handle @travel_with_the_buddies. They’re passionate locals who know Meghalaya inside-out and are committed to showing you the state in the most authentic way possible.
