Very uncomfortable adventure - do this only at the END of the rainy season or if you are VERY patient

点评：This is not for everyone, and not for every time of year. The boat is expensive, slow, VERY noisy (as in you absolutely cannot have a conversation without yelling into the other person's ear), and you cannot trust information from the company.
However, it is a unique view if some of the floating village communities you wouldn't otherwise see, as well as the Tonle Sap lake. The pilot was nice as well - please don't take it out on him, he is doing his best.
For me, it was worth it, but my boyfriend was pretty angry. We specifically asked the company how long it would take and were told 6-7 hours. It took 12, and we didn't even make it all the way to Battambang, instead we stopped 1 hour away by tuktuk (which we also had to pay overprice for). This was in the rainy season, mind you. According to the pilot, 6-7 hours is only for the end of the rainy season in august/september, where it is possible to take a shortcut.
We stopped for lunch at a small shop in the river. It looked a bit sketchy, but neither of us got sick.
In summary: do this if you want a slow travel experience people watching for hours, and you're in Cambodia in august/September. If you go, bring earplugs, water and some entertainment. Be nice to the pilot, it's not his fault that the company oversells this experience
