点评:This is a 2nd century BC Egyptian temple that was gifted to Madrid following their help in preserving it after the Aswan Dam flooded it. The temple now stands on the site where the French executed Spanish rebels in 1808, depicted in the famous Goya painting and also where the military uprising that started the Spanish Civil War took place.
Frustratingly, the pools around the temple were all empty so no reflection shots for me and also you need to have a ticket to enter (free of charge but you need to register) and all slots were filled for today and tomorrow, despite no one being there other than 3 security guards. Slots are apparently for a maximum of 30 minutes, 15 visitors per slot but it looks like it takes 10 minutes at the most to visit so capacity could be doubled at a stroke .....
