点评：The highlight of my trip to Bude.I swam in the pool every day. The pool is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and entirely funded by charity. The pool is open all day but it is not advisable to swim at high tide especially in stormy weather as the breakers come over the sea wall to replenish the pool. The water temperature was 18-19 C in early September and many people were wearing wetsuits. The entrance to the pool is concrete and has some seaweed but I didn’t find it necessary to wear water shoes.There is plenty of room for swimming as it is 91 metres by 45 metres with a roped off more shallow area for small children and novice swimmers. There is a large rock protruding into the pool from the sea wall which was great fun for the kids jumping in. There are hooks to hang clothing and a couple of changing huts but no toilets or showers so plan accordingly. To access the pool requires negotiating steps . There is a handrail but due to the natural structure of the pool it is not wheelchair accessible. There is some lovely Bude sea pool themed merchandise with proceeds and donations going to the upkeep of the pool.It is also possible to borrow pool gear such as wetsuits and goggles.
