Stately home museum with eclectic collection
尤金王子美术馆的点评
点评：Prince Eugen (1865-1947) was a painter and art collector. His own works are well represented, but are not the most impressive, in my view. A temporary exhibition with works of Christian Skredsvig (until October 5, 2025) adds considerable value. So does the collection of illustrations by Tove Jansson, famous for her Mumin stories, and Ilon Wikland, the illustrator of Astrid Lindgren's extremely popular books. They can be viewed until August 17, 2025.
A part of the permanent exhibition is dedicated to works of Edvard Munch, albeit none of his most famous ones.
The collection of stylish furniture is also of some interest.
There is an informal restaurant in the house with a modest menu of lunch offerings, sandwiches, and pastries.
