阿尔贝蒂娜博物馆的点评
点评：We have been to the Albertina many times before and it is indeed imposing and the impressive but…
Picasso exhibition seems to have been there forever! As does Monet, one is always intriguing and aesthetically pleasing, the other a total anathema to me- I mean Picasso!
The hall of muses really ornate and beautiful, adorned with statues of the Greek God Apollo and the various muses of music, comedy etc.
The “Ghosts on a Tree” really is chilling and highly effective as a reminder of the times in which it was created. However, I just really didn’t “get” “Metomorphosis” by Joan Miro for example. I own to not having a great understanding of surrealist art; although I adore avant garde theatre etc. This painting would have been a bitter disappointment to me (as a parent) if one of my pre school kids had produced it but perhaps that’s my ignorance 🤷♀️😂 other exhibits I found compelling! I suppose it goes to show that art is subjective and a good stimulus for debate.
Overall, worth a visit but I favour the modern.
