点评:Six went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Lovely staff and good food with wine. We ordered two bottles of expensive sparkling wine beforehand which was excellent . Two of us in our party decided to take home a case each as we believe in supporting English winemakers.
Some weeks later our friend who had purchased a case opened a bottle and warned us it was off. Dark brown colour and musty taste and smell. Undrinkable.
We opened one from our case and it was exactly the same. Undrinkable.
As we live over 80 miles away it was not easy to return. We were told by Quob that they will not refund and they only offered to replace the off wine which we did not want obviously. They offered to swap for some rose and red instead but only for the amount of five bottles. They refused to refund on the bad bottle. So we had to take the chance on all this being good wine as we did not want another 160 mile round trip.
I do not ever give bad reviews as I usually just do not return but felt I had to warn people of the shocking customer service and be careful if you buy from them as if there is any problem with your wine you will be stuck with them. The staff were very polite but simply said the management will not compensate for the bad bottle we opened ( £40) nor the time and trouble in taking it back to them. Shocking customer service which we have never experienced from any other UK vineyard and we visit plenty. Buyer beware.
