点评：This is believed to be the highest place in Nainital and very popular among the tourists. we asked our package tour driver to take us there but he advised that the road to the top is not motorable and he would drop us at the base of this stony and treacherous path from where the distance would be about half a km. So we both started walking hoping that in 15-20 minutes we would be able to cover the distance. However, when we asked the people who were returning, we were advised to go back because it is a long walk of about 2 km. Some people also told us that from another point horse riding was available and we had come to the wrong point for reaching the Tiffin Top. However, we did not want to go back in spite of our old age, my heart problem and wife's knee problem. Finally we reached the top, first took water followed by tea and snacks as there are a few eateries at Tiffin Top. Of course, the view of the Nainital town was simply breathtaking and we felt exhilarated on reaching there. No doubt, we had taken a big risk. Of course, It is a must visit place, also popularly known as Dorothy Seat after the name of of the wife of its discoverer. Even form the horse ride point. we could not have gone for horse riding, and so walking was the only option. However, I shall advise elderly tourists to avoid visit to this place. even by horse riding. The younger tourists who are interested in visiting this peak are advised to have horse riding and should go to another point.
