点评：This is a small venue and the night I was there there were two concerts on. My one was in the upstairs venue. I went up and the bands equipment was set up on the stage to the right and then there was an open floor in the middle with some tiered seating to the left where you could go if you didnt fancy the floor. I did ask security can anyone just sit up in the raised area but he didnt know so I just went up. Had a great view of the entire set up from there. Probably about 200-250 people there in total, but there was room for more.
As I left I noticed the 2nd band on the ground floor were still playing. I asked a woman could I go in for a look and she directed me towards the toilet which was just past the entrance and when I came back she had disappeared and the door I came through was closed. I couldnt actually get into the ground floor venue as it was packed. I barely squeezed into the arena and it was much bigger than upstairs. There was more seating on a raised area along the side which was also packed. Hard to put a number on it but Id say there was at least 1000 people if not more here.
There was a small 4 euro charge in addition to the ticket price which gives you an annual membership to the Melkweg. The venue was easy to find and is only a few minutes walk from the Prinsengracht tram stop. The security staff were disinterested at best but the Melkweg staff were grand.
