Bright Nights at Walibi
Walibi Holland的点评
点评：Walibi Holland, formerly known as the dutch Six Flags, is an astonishing experience especially for thrill seekers. We went during the "bright night" event and there was so much activity going on, it was just beautiful.
Still in christmas theme, Walibi had a lot of christmas songs playing and artificial snow was sometimes blowing around. We were greeted by the good old mascot himself alongside santa and his elves. A beautiful intro to a yet still so thrilling day.
The good:
- Walibi is a vast expanse of zones such as: Zero Zone, Speed Zone and for the children the Play Land. Themed in multiple different colors and styles, every zone has its own unique feel. Play land being colorful and easy while Zero Zone has a somewhat menacing and industrial style to it.
- The attractions are themed amazingly. "Xpress Platform 13" representing an old haunted metro station that supposedly burned down around the 90's, while "Untamed" is a wooden hybrid coaster with mostly wildlife in and around it.
- There are a lot of places where you can get all types of different food for a reasonable price.
The bad
- Said food at most (most, not every) places is "mid" at best, fries I make at home taste better than however they make it at "Hacienda". The burger was somewhat decent.
- A lot of attractions need to warm up or are broken at times. This was my 3rd visit and again I had rollercoasters that just never opened. Other attractions also open pretty late in the day. Never really had this problem at other theme parks.
Special Events:
Sometimes Walibi has event days such as "fright nights" or in our case "bright nights" the entrance fee can be more during these days BUT I'd highly employ you to go during those days. They have a lot more to offer. Bright nights had the entire theme park beautifully lit up in a lot of fun ways, one of them being buttons placed all over the park that, when pressed, would start all kinds of small light shows. Next to that the attractions are also extra lit up.
Overall a solid 4.0, Walibi is such a bright and colorful park that it's hard not to want to go back. Surprisingly we got a 50% discount coupon when we left. So you'll definitely see us coming again, I still need to ride "Lost Gravity" after all ^^.
