Good tour, go on a day they're running the pumps for demonstration

点评：We went for a couple's getaway to the pumping station. The event is called "steam with the team". It's a guided tour of the pumping station. You start on the ground floor and work your way up before working your way all the way down to the basement.
It's a nice one hour tour with interesting tidbits about the history of the pumping station sprinkled in throughout. If you are interested in taking pictures, you have to do it while the tour is in progress as you won't get time afterwards to come and take pics with the machinery operating.
We couldn't hear the guides very well at times even though they had the loudspeaker system on them, so some of the history got missed out.
There is a museum at the front of the building that's free and has antique equipment and is dementia friendly. YouTube: _0ECnFxWicI
The parking is in national space center cark park. You can pay by contactless and there's no app payment as far as I could see. You can't use PayByPhone app to pay online here unlike so many other parking meters in the city that support it.
