Musee Constantin Meunier的点评
点评：A lovely small museum devoted to the paintings and sculptures of Constatin Meunier. I had never heard of this artist so I decided to make a visit - and entry is free. I took the number 38 bus from Centraal train station to the Van Eyck stop (about a 20 minute ride). A pleasant employee welcomed me into what was once Meunier’s home. In the long hallway amongst the many small sculptures there are several panels explaining his rise as an artist and the themes used in his pieces. At the end there is a big room with large sculptures and a few more paintings. It only took me about 35 minutes to see everything but it was relaxing as I was the only visitor. Although the building needs updating I still found this museum to be a little gem for those who appreciate art.
As a bonus just around the corner from the museum is a beautiful garden park (Parc Tenbosch) with many trees/shrubs offering shade, benches to sit, flowers, and a small playground for kids.
