点评:We departed from JB train station at 8.45am and arrived in Kluang after 2 hours. We walked 15 minutes from the train station into town to store our luggage in our hotel. After a short lunch, we took a grab taxi to the trailhead, about 15 minutes ride.
We hiked Laluan Xtreme which is the steeper route to Peak1 on our LHS. On the right which is called Laluan Awam is the more gradual route. The route up requies certain level of fitness and will involve the use of hands to pull onto the ropes that lined the route up Peak 1. At Peak 1, there is a beautiful signage showing the elevation of 510m which one could hold or hang around the neck for pictures 😄.
After a short rest of 20 minutes for pictures and snacks, we proceeded to Peak 2. Peak 2 is steeper than Peak 1 and we submitted in 35 minutes. We didn't back tracked down the same way but another more gradual route down. All in all, we completed both peaks in 3 hours 20 minutes.
Gunung Lambak is a good place for training. We have along with us 2 beginners. Although they did "suffered" and felt totally spent after the trek, however, they still MADE IT!!
Tips:-
1. Possible to do a day hike from Singapore but super rush. Minimum recommendation to stay at least 1 night in Kluang.
2. At the trail head, you could buy drinks and snacks. Toilets available.
3. Great choice of food, dessert and good massage in Kluang town.
4. Easier to book private hire (eg. GRAB) to trek trail head.

南巴克山是训练的好地方。我们同行的还有两位初学者。虽然他们徒步后确实“吃尽了苦头”,感觉筋疲力尽,但他们还是成功了!!
小贴士:
1. 从新加坡出发可以进行一日徒步,但行程非常紧凑。建议至少在居銮住一晚。
2. 在登山口可以买到饮料和小吃。登山口有洗手间。
3. 居銮镇上有很多美食、甜点和不错的按摩服务。
4. 预订私人租车(例如GRAB)前往登山口更容易。
