雷克雅未克大教堂的点评
点评：The largest church in Iceland is by far one of the most unique churches I have visited. It stands as the top notable attraction in Reykjavik and you can see why, the church has a unique design, the all grey structure is supposed to represent basalt columns that can be found across the country and the inside is not to decorated but pretty. I loved visiting this church, the inside and outside is so picture perfect. I went here the first day of my holiday to Iceland just after my flight in morning. It was very windy and I was battling against the wind quite a lot because the church is situated on a hill. Went to go inside and the person outside said 15 minutes until you can go inside so I said I’ll come back. Came back not 15 minutes later but a couple of hours and he then said 45 minutes so I said another day then. 2 days later I returned at opening time of 10am and they said the inside of the church was going to be open at 10:40. I did the bell tower which was 1000 ISK. The views of the city from the top is brilliant. Came back down after 20 minutes and they said inside of the church was open at 11am now, this was because of prayer service. The inside was well worth the wait, it is quite unique, and what surprised me is that the church is home to Europe’s largest organ.
Well worth the visit it simply cannot be missed it can be seen wherever you are in Reykjavik and its all lit up when its dark just brilliant.
