Great trip, especially for preteens and younger

We went with friends, which improved it for the kids. If they had only gone with siblings, the day may have dragged a bit, but with friends it was a great experience.
**TICKETING
I had qualified for discounted tickets but did not remember the details of how to apply this discount. The young gal at the ticket desk was very helpful and got it figured out.
Also, we were pleasantly surprised that the tickets were on sale that weekend (Labor Day- last day of the year for the park).
**PARK
The park itself was great for the kids, who took advantage of all the variety. Highlights: The older girls (15, 14, 12) enjoyed shopping together. The boys (12, 10, 9) did log ride several times in a row. The youngers would have been happy staying in the tilted house and carousel all day, (same for my 12yo and the roller coaster). It was easy to navigate, and not so large that you felt scared to lose a child.
**DOWNSIDE
The only downside was that the train was broken, which we had been looking forward to, and a few rides (swings, octopus, etc) were not operating.
Overall I am very glad that we went! Well worth the drive and the all inclusive ticket cost!
