It Is Jewish Ghetto, not district or quarter

点评：I liked Jewish Ghetto i often frequent but i note an effort to cancel history and its meaning by calling it "district" or "quarter" with the pretense of to not be offensive. What it is really offensive is erasing the history. The word ghetto is fundamental to understand the history of that place. The first ghetto has been the Venice Jewish ghetto, the second is the Roman one. Ghetto had specific rules and nothing to do to actual perception of the word ghetto in Unites States which appropriated the word to describe something very distant from the meaning of the ghetto. Now, because of that american perception born after appropriating the word ghetto we need supposedly change our 2 thousand years old words to accomodate their modern and domestic vision, erasing the meaning of a historic place
