点评：We knew nothing about Château de Chantilly but we had booked a weekend at the nearby Auberge du Jeu de Paume. We decided to spend the day at the Château and were pleasantly surprised by all features of the visit. The Château itself is very imposing, but the property is huge. We rented a golf cart and toured the forest land and the formal gardens in approximately an hour, you could spend two hours easily. We left the golf cart and walked up to the stables where we went through the horse museum and saw an example of dressage. There is a presentation every day at 2:30 PM. Children will find the horses a lot of fun to look at. After that, we walked back to the Château approximately half a mile and entered the Galleries. This is the largest collection of Renaissance art outside of the Louvre and it is truly amazing for those who like this particular kind of art . we spent approximately an hour and a half touring the rooms and the galleries and found it interesting but exhausting the entire visit and compassed approximately five hours and cost €21 per person well worth the visit.
