Large grand avenue that provided a perfect route to see the impressive buildings of Vienna

点评：The Ringstrasse surrounds the old part of the city of Vienna. This broad avenue is lined by many impressive buildings and top attractions of the city, including museums, palaces, Government buildings and parks / gardens. It provided a natural walking route for my sightseeing stroll around the city (on my walk I started off in the centre of the old town, headed north west to the Votive Church and then followed the Ringstrasse route anti-clockwise until I reached Stadtpark and then headed back to St Stephen's Cathedral).
It's a busy road and you are well-advised to use the pedestrian crossings positioned along the route, even if they do seem to take an age for the lights to change. A lovely focus point for sightseeing, and many of the guided tours use it as a focus point. Definitely worth checking out.
