点评:Sicily is beautiful, but scammers definitely ruined part of the trip. Not sure if I’d go back.
We got scammed out of 40 euros for five tiny drinks that were mostly water. And then there were the ZTL zones, where you're not allowed to drive. We did everything to avoid them. Paid for apps that didn’t work or didn’t show the right zones. Watched every sign like a hawk. The only one we actually saw was the one telling us we were leaving the zone. By then it was already too late.
Fines incoming. Feels like a business model.
The worst part? These zones are meant to keep tourists out of the city centers to avoid overcrowding. But the one we entered was in a side street far outside the center. To avoid it, we literally had to drive half an hour straight through the old city. Make it make sense.
At times it felt like a wasp’s nest out there. That’s no way to treat your tourists.
But hey maybe it’s just me. I don’t travel that often and haven’t seen much of the world yet. Bit of a side track anyway since I originally posted a breathing video, which definitely helped calm me down after all that pathetic nonsense.
