点评:I visited Underground Naples in February. The tour lasts almost two hours and is split into two parts: the underground tunnels and water points, and an above-ground section through rooms in old buildings showing historical items.
Tickets cost €15 and are cash only, so make sure to bring money with you. I was lucky that other visitors helped me, but booking online in advance would probably be easier.
The underground section was interesting, with water features and open wells, but I had expected more tunnels. Even in low season it was quite crowded, and because the underground spaces are small, you often run into other groups, making it hard to hear your guide at times. One tunnel is extremely narrow, and you have to walk sideways, not suitable if you’re claustrophobic. Missing it means missing some of the best parts of the tour.
The guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting historical context. Overall, it’s worth seeing for the history, but the crowds, narrow passages, and unexpected above-ground portion made it less enjoyable than I had hoped.
