Delightful Puglia Bike Trip
PATH walks, talks & beyond的点评
点评：Path/Andrea and Angela organized a wonderful bike tour for a group of friends to experience the magic of Puglia. We provided dates and daily ride length preference and it was all organized for us. This amazing experience included luxury accommodations, restaurant suggestions, a walking tour of Matera, food and wine tour in Lecce, and a very doable ride plan 30-39 miles per day (riders ages from late 50s to mid-60s). Andrea and Angela were very accommodating from providing additional ride suggestions, bike change/adjustments, and easy to reach for any questions. Route: Matera, Monopoli, Ostuni, Gallipoli, Santa Maria di Leuca, Otranto, and Lecce.
Rides took us through olive groves, stunning sea views, charming villages mostly on lesser traveled country lanes or bike paths. A few times we were in traffic but no issue riding single-file. We fueled our rides with hearty breakfasts at the hotels. Discovered Pasticciotti and Caffee Leccese helped fuel the rides too. Late afternoons and evenings were spent exploring on our own.
Flew into Bari and out of Brindisi. Luggage transfer between stays was seamless as was transport from and to the airports. Itinerary and bike routes provided via an app so easy to use and plan for the day ahead. We took a rest day on day 6 in Gallipoli and rented a boat to add in a sea experience too.
Angela’s food and wine tour in Lecce was a highlight and she introduced us to Rustico Leccese. Yum. Can’t say enough good things about this truly incredible adventure. I recommend Path and would use them again in the future to plan another trip.
