A Must-Visit in Gwalior – Fascinating Royal Heritage Experie

点评：Jai Vilas Palace Museum was definitely one of the highlights of my Gwalior trip. The best part was that the relatively high ticket price of around ₹640 per person (including the museum, Darbar Hall and applicable charges) keeps the crowd manageable. However, the ticket price is certainly on the steeper side.
One thing to keep in mind is that bags and water bottles are not allowed inside the museum, so plan accordingly.
The museum primarily showcases the history and heritage of the Scindia/Maratha dynasty. There is also a dedicated room showcasing the belongings of Madhavrao Scindia, which I found particularly interesting and gives a more personal glimpse into the royal family.
The major attractions for me were the Karan carpet, the magnificent Darbar Hall, the huge chandeliers and the famous Silver Train. The grandeur of the interiors and the collection make the visit worthwhile.
If you have an interest in the stories, lifestyle and possessions of Indian Maharajas and are comfortable spending around ₹650 per person, this is definitely a must-see attraction in Gwalior.
Don't skip Jai Vilas Palace Museum if you are visiting Gwalior. It was one of the best experiences of my trip.
