Superb staff support and set up!

点评：My 12 yr old son was really freaking out + some tears about karting as it was quite noisy (indoor+petrol karts= noisy) but after some good advice from the staff we rearranged for a quieter mid week session.
Conversely my 14 yr old son was completely not fussed straight in and didn’t mind being in with more racers however he also said he’d have preferred a quieter sesh, there were 13 racers on the Saturday vs 4 when we went back on a Friday.
Considering the age of the staff they showed great understanding of how overwhelmed my son was and on his return helped support him throughout his karting. He jumped in a dual kart with one of the staff who, on this occasion, did the driving and he just enjoyed the ride - for him this was enough of an experience and he came away absolutely buzzing as they got faster and faster times.
This was the first time he had done any karting and he’s now really keen to come back and give it a go on his own. Karting is imo a really good gateway in to motorsport of any kind and the set up here is great with some great staff who clearly enjoy working here - often an underrated point.
There’s a club racing here too which goes to show how much local engagement there is with lap times up on the wall - loved seeing the staff times up too.
*Do go during the week if you want a quieter session.
*Cafe next door (which also serves the wider industrial estate) has loads of food options.
*dual kart will only likely be available on quieter days as it needs a staff member to drive
*safety vid is quite (rightly) full on but helped explain rules etc
*racing is based around getting better lap times which are printed out for each racer after each 10 min session.
I’m really appreciative of the effort put in by the young lads which will have a positive legacy for my son when he comes back - which we will!
