A truly magical and memorable experience – one-of-a-kind creativity and kindness
We booked a private workshop at Creaturama during our Isle of Wight holiday, and it was honestly one of the standout moments of our trip. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a typical craft activity – it was something really special.
Anthony, the artist behind Creaturama, is an absolute gem. Not only is he incredibly talented (with Blue Peter, TV and film work in his portfolio!), but he’s also patient, funny, and instinctively brilliant with children — including those who may need a little extra support.
Our boys were encouraged to dream big and build whatever fired up their imaginations. One made the D-Rex from Jurassic World, the other tackled the ambitious Queen Anne’s Revenge pirate ship (complete with all 40 cannons!). Anthony guided them with expert knowledge, clever suggestions, and just the right amount of challenge — letting their creativity shine without pressure. He even let us stay longer than booked so the boys could finish their masterpieces, which was hugely appreciated.
It’s rare to find an experience that’s both genuinely creative and so wonderfully inclusive. This was so much more than cutting and sticking — it was imagination made real, held together with masking tape and magic.
It was one of the cheapest things we did with our children, but by far one of the most rewarding.
We left with big smiles, proud children, and a firm intention to return the next time we’re on the island.
If you’re visiting the Isle of Wight and want to do something truly unique — go to Creaturama. And if your child is autistic, anxious, neurodivergent, or just a bit unsure of new things — especially go. Anthony just gets it.
