点评:Rather than take a tour from Hanoi we took the train to Nihn Binh and organised a driver to pick us up. The train was a great experience (and you get to see the famous Train Street from the train point of view). At Trang An you get to choose what kind of trip you take - one is about wildlife, another about temples and culture, and one takes you to the set of the movie Kong: Skull Island, which was filmed here. You get in a sampan (four people plus a boatman) and paddle slowly through the amazing karst limestone landscape. Someone told us it was like Ha Long but less touristy. You’ll be glad to get off to view the temples - Sampans are not built for 6’3” New Zealanders, and it does feel a bit cramped. But the trip is peaceful and the landscape and caves you go through are magical. It was a long day but absolutely worth it.
