Meis ferry warning - queueing over 4 hours at passport control!

点评：This service is awful - over 4 hours of queuing - they lie about it taking 10 minutes and when we tried to complain to the staff at the desk in Kas they were rude and dismissive.
We took the ferry yesterday to Meis from Kas and waited a total of 4 hours 30 mins at various customs/passport controls, most of which stood in the sun with my 73 year old mother. They advertise a fast ferry (10mins) we arrived at 9.30am for the 10am ferry, paid €20 euros extra in port taxis (Turkish and Greek). We then stood for 40 mins in a passport queue to exit Turkey, arrived in Meis and stood for nearly 2 hours at Greek passport control at the port in Meis! We actually left the passport building at 12 midday - so 2.5hrs from Kas port office! We were told to arrive back for 3.45pm for our 4.30pm fast ferry back but again another exhausting queue and we actually left the port at 5.30pm arriving back at 5.45 an hour later than expected and 2 hours after our arrival for the boat. It’s a ridiculous system they were fully staffed - that’s just how long it takes them to scan and check the passports of all the passengers. It ruined our trip to a beautiful place, it just wasn’t worth the hassle!
Again staff at the port in Kas, particularly the man were rude and arrogant. They don’t care if you are upset and had a poor experience.
