Altavista Petroglyph Complex的点评
点评:Our taxi driver struggled to find the place, but we managed. He tried to drive us in but his little car couldn't complete the rough trail in. So we walked the last bit, and all of the way back out to the road to meet a pre-scheduled cab, arranged by our first driver.
You can do the walk - it's flat and easy. About 20-25 minutes each way. And the trail in the forest is lush and cool. Looking for the petroglyphs is part of the fun. Kids would love it.
There may be an old fellow t the entrance, by the road, who will want 50 pesos. We paid willingly and later he showed up on our hike, insisting on escorting us out. We didn't buy his photos or rent his walking sticks. But he did offer some extra flavor for the day, although his English is non-existent, so it was all point and mime.
One of the big draws to this complex is the lack of humans. You may find yourselves the only ones there.
