One of the best “treasure” displays I have ever seen.

点评：This is THE BEST attraction in all of Freeport / Lucaya / Grand Bahamas Island. The museum does an excellent job explaining the maritime history of the Bahamas but the most spectacular displays center around the wreck of Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas which sank nearby in 1656.
Carl Allen and Allen Expeditions has graciously shared the treasure they have found and it is on public display at the museum. Their collection is one of the finest I have ever viewed and is well worth the price of admission.
The museum provides a tour guide who is knowledgeable, a security team that keeps an eye on the artifacts and others who capibly run the day to day operations. The conservation lab is world class and the woman that we met had knowledge, skill and ability matching and exceeding the capability of many facilities I have visited around the world.
