点评:I attended a performance at the Pavilion Theatre alone and left feeling shaken and angry due to the behaviour of front-of-house staff.
I fully complied with the no-filming policy throughout the show. During a meet and greet before the performance, Peter Andre clearly stated that audience members would be allowed to film during the final song, which was reiterated from the stage.
At that moment, when I briefly took my phone out, a staff member attempted to grab it. Another staff member then confronted me aggressively, telling me to put my phone in my pocket or he would “walk me out.” I was falsely accused of filming for ten minutes, which is completely untrue and easily disproven.
What made this even worse was the hypocrisy. Other audience members nearby were visibly using their phones throughout the performance and were not threatened or spoken to in this manner. One person’s phone was physically taken and checked by staff, which was intrusive and unacceptable, yet still no aggression was directed at them.
I was singled out, spoken to with hostility, and threatened with removal at the exact moment I genuinely believed filming was permitted. I felt intimidated enough that I chose to leave before the show had properly ended.
This was not crowd control. It was bullying. No customer, especially someone attending alone, should be treated this way. A venue with the Pavilion Theatre’s reputation should be deeply embarrassed by this level of staff conduct.
