点评：We reached this small monastery built into the cliff side by ferry from Stresa (8 euro round trip). The boat ride was only 15 minutes, and we had a great view of the monastery as we neared the boat dock. From the dock, you must walk up 68 stone steps to the ticket office. The admission cost is 5 euros with a reduced price of 3 euros for seniors (65 and older). An audioguide is offered for an additional 3 euros which we didn’t purchase, but there were descriptive signs in several places (in Italian, English, French and German) that were helpful to us. The murals inside were quite nice, but there wasn’t too much else to see. 30 minutes is plenty of time to see it all. Unfortunately, the timing of the ferry schedule from Stresa is such that you will have 90 minutes or more before the return trip. If we would have known, we might have brought some snacks to enjoy in the shaded picnic area or on one of the benches in the sun.
