Great staff, but management and catering badly let this venue down

点评：We held a family gathering here after a funeral and, unfortunately, the experience added stress to what was already a very difficult day. From the moment we arrived, the owner was unwelcoming and abrupt. We were slightly early, yet instead of a polite explanation, we were spoken to rudely and made to feel like an inconvenience. Our guests were then rushed to their tables in a manner that felt unnecessary and insensitive given the circumstances.
Throughout the event, the owner came across as rude and bull-headed, loudly barking orders at staff and creating a tense atmosphere rather than a calm, respectful one suitable for a family bereavement gathering.
The food was also disappointing for the price paid — portions were very small, and the sandwich combinations felt odd and not particularly fresh.
The only real positive was the serving staff. The girls working on the day were polite and helpful, and the staff member we spoke with at the end of the event was especially professional and apologetic. She genuinely seemed to care about our experience and took our feedback seriously, which we really appreciated.
Based on this visit, we would only consider returning if the management approach changed.
