点评：We spent 4 days on the river and had 25 jaguar encounters—including one hunting a caiman—and saw over 100 bird species. Our guide, Bruno, was incredible. He’s part of a jaguar ID project that tracks individual cats in the region, and his knowledge brought so much depth to every sighting. He also coordinated airport transfers, translated when needed, and made sure the vegetarians in our group had proper meals.
As a birder, I appreciated that he used the quiet moments between jaguar sightings to help us spot even more species. Our boat driver was also great—keeping the boat steady as possible for photographers and binocular users alike.
The operation isn’t fully sustainable—they still use generators and plastic cups—but they’re thoughtful where they can be: reusable lunch containers, designated toileting with pack-out bags, and boat count monitoring at jaguar sightings to reduce stress on the animals.
They hope more visitors come—not just for the incredible wildlife, but to help bring awareness and support to the region’s conservation efforts. Supporting them feels like investing in a better future for the Pantanal.
