Fantastic organic spice farm visit

点评：We had the best time today at this beautiful organic farm in the western ghats. The drive there was interesting through rural Goan villages and lush countryside.
We were welcomed with a delicious ginger and lime tea and given a choice between 2 treks ( both to waterfalls in the nearby national park) we chose the shorter one as we are older and not the fittest! Firstly we were taken in a jeep to the park and then we walked to the waterfall with our guide who was a snake rescuer, he was such an interesting engaging young man and we were lucky enough to see a skink a green snake and a huge spider - the waterfall was magnificent and the little fish nibble on you as you dangle your legs in.
Then it was back to the farm for lunch - which was quite simply delicious - so fresh and tasty- the pineapple curry was a triumph. Finally we had a tour around the plantation by a lady who was so knowledgeable and informative - a real pleasure to spend time with - we were even able to visit a mud house that the owner still lives in. You then get the opportunity to purchase a variety of spices honeys and other organic products. I can not recommend this day out enough - just book it you will have a real day to remember - thank you to all !
