Crimson Lane Vineyards的点评
点评：After a rainy drive the clouds started to clear as pulled in Crimson Lane Vineyards . The views were still hazy but beautiful. You walk in and are greeted and shown to your seating. The room is beautiful. The vibe here is a relaxing, inviting, friendly elegance. The tasting started with a sparkling chardonnay from a different VA vineyards. The rest were estate wines. The sauvignon blanc was light with some fruit flavors but not the tropical fruit like many other in VA. I was not sure about it on first taste but it got better as I tasted it. The steel barrel chardonnay was very interesting. I did get some green apple. But there were unexpected flavor there as well. I am not a chardonnay fan. But the oak barrel chardonnay was a star. The flavors were amazing. I can't describe what I tasted. I think I would need and entire bottle to do so. Then we moved to the reds. I did the Parrel. This will turn out to be the best. It had the smoothness I expect from a cab franc with a long finish. But it also had the flavorful qualities of the Cab sauv. I also tried their Colina which interesting enough had more cab franc but I tasted the fruitiness of a cab sauv. Then I did the PV which had the flavors and power I like. Not as acidic as others.
