World Equestrian Center的点评
点评：I stumbled across the World Equestrian Center while looking for vacation ideas in the Ocala area. My family and I are not really "horse" people although we have volunteered for some stables here in our hometown. You definitely don't need to be an equestrian family to appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the WEC. We made reservations at The Riding Academy hotel (on WEC property). I will definitely do a separate review for the hotel because it was stunning to say the least. We rented a golf cart to be able to fully tour the property - this is the way to go. I think the property is just too large and expansive to walk and to be able to see everything. We had dinner at Viola and Dot's, a very cute Italian restaurant in the common areas of the WEC. The next day we had beautiful weather and took advantage and spent the whole day touring the property. They had a few horse competitions going on which you can watch at no charge. The have multiple arenas, each one prettier than the next. We loved the outdoor arena where a junior competition was occurring. The kids are so poised and their horses are so well taken care of. What a treat to watch! They have a huge stable area which we rode past, and I overheard several people talking about the WEC allowing them to bring their horses during some recent storms and how well they were treated. So great to hear! They have various areas around the property that are unique and worth stopping to take a picture. It is quite lovely to see horses with their owners on the walking paths. To my surprise they had a gorgeous chapel! It was really quite beautiful - simple and elegant. They have shops, a candy store and multiple restaurants. We had lunch at Ralphs - a delicious sandwich shop near the chapel. For dinner, we ate at Stirrups, a restaurant located inside the other hotel - Equestrian Hotel. Dinner was amazing and the staff was so professional. We loved our visit so much we have made reservations for March and are bringing additional family members so they can experience this gem as well. This was part of Time Magazine's 2024 World's Greatest Places and they have definitely earned that title. Well done!!!!
