2nd visit. Ideal for families with small children

点评：We last visited 2 years ago, a lot of improvements, new additions have been made since then and the work is ongoing. It's £6.50 for retired people for an annual pass and I think this would be ideal for families with small children as there is a lovely play park with a separate area for toddlers as well as the walks and birds and wallabies to see and feed. There are lots of trees and plants and flowering shrubs that must have been there before this was built which been left to grow wild creating a wonderful natural environment for the birds to wander in. There are all sorts of birds from small colourful lovebirds to huge emus with their babies, black swans, white peacocks, parrots and of course the flamingoes and many other species including a rather scary male turkey who is very territorial and plumps his feathers up to protect his wives 😂
The cafe is really nice and serves freshly made homebaked cakes and scones as well as soup and sandwiches. There is a gift shop with some lovely ornamental items as well as pocket money small toys and games etc. Definitely worth a visit.
