点评:Governor Northcott officially opened this park in 1949. The memorial gates have the honour roll on them. The Cenotaph was moved here from its original position on the corner of McGee and High streets before the park opened.
The site of this park was once the site of the Star Brewery in 1879 which became known from 1890 as the Lindsay Brewery and Cordial Factory. Whilst this factory closed and re-opened a few times , it was out of business by the 1920s. The site was then used as a cow paddock until funds were raised to build this park.
The park is on the Main Street of town.. .the town is a bit sleepy so it doesn't have a lot going on. But when you look at the memorial gates the war affected a lot of men so it makes sense to have a memorial park in this town.
