Waste of time, money and disappointed kids - all could have been prevented by Avondale

点评：Bitterly disappointing trip to Beyond The Trees Avondale. We knew the weather was looking bad (rainy) so we contacted Beyond the Trees the day beforehand to make sure everything would be open. They reassured us that everything would be open, but were told there was no need to contact them, just check the socials on the day to double check.
We checked socials, no mention of any closures, so 8 of us jumped into 2 cars and drove 1hr 20 mins to get there. Walked up the whole thing to be greeted by a sign saying "slide closed". Completely unacceptable. The slide is covered, so I see no issue in there being rain. 4 very disappointed kids and 4 angry parents walked back down the structure where we walked into the shop to question why it was closed - we were nonchalantly told, as if we were stupid, "well obviously its unsafe because of the rain".
This isn't on at all. The only reason parents bring their kids to this attraction is the slide. You can pretend there's more value, but the kids are only interested in that. If it isn't open, you have a duty to tell us, especially when we go out of our way to double check it would be open. We spent a small fortune on this (over €100) and wasted a valuable day with friends who travelled from abroad to visit us. Terrible customer service at the venue and we've contacted over social media (DM) and no response. When we've spoken to other people about our terrible day out, we've been told, "oh that happened to us as well".
I've been driven to write this is because they're ignoring our direct messages and I feel it a duty to warn people off making a trip to a place that doesn't value its customers and their time.
