Spa at Taplow House Hotel的点评
点评：A friend and I attended the spa which was effectively a small outdoor pool Jacuzzi and a sauna. That was the full extent of the so-called spa.
Whilst our initial impressions were positive based on the warm welcome from the gentleman at reception, the facilities were hugely lacking and there were too many people in the spa for the small amount of beauty therapists and the two facilities available.
The tea and coffee is not apparently free (one cup each would have been enough for a 4 hour session!) but there are tea bags out but you cannot make it easily yourself. Very odd.
There is limited outside seating for the amount of people who they had at the spa. The sauna is relatively small compared to the amount of people who were at the spa and the outside pool is simply a large Jacuzzi. Luckily, we had a very sunny afternoon. Had the afternoon been rainy or cold, we would’ve only been able to use the sauna.
The setting however is lovely and he grounds very pretty.
With our spa afternoon we did have a one hour drift away massage which I have to say was delightful. However, the poor therapist I had was in a complete tizz as she could not find me. Apparently my appointment was at 12:30 pm however I had written confirmation and email that it was at 12:45. This caused much confusion and appeared in unnecessary hassle. In addition, the receptionist had asked me to wait in a certain area and the poor therapist has spent the time running around the spa looking for me! There appeared to be a horrible lack of communication between the staff.
On going down into the dining area for our afternoon tea after the spa and massage, the staff had to be kindly reminded that we had the champagne afternoon tea.
The 4 hour session was £135 per person and frankly it just wasn’t good value for money in my opinion.

下午的水疗期间，我们确实享受了一个小时的漂流按摩，不得不说，这真是太棒了。然而，可怜的理疗师却忙得不可开交，因为她找不到我。我的预约时间是下午12:30，但我在确认信和邮件里都说是12:45。这造成了很大的混乱，似乎带来了不必要的麻烦。此外，接待员让我在某个区域等候，可怜的理疗师却在水疗中心四处寻找我！员工之间似乎严重缺乏沟通。
水疗和按摩结束后，我们下楼去餐厅享用下午茶时，工作人员不得不好心地提醒我们，我们享用的是香槟下午茶。
4小时的疗程每人收费135英镑，坦白说，在我看来，这完全不值这个价。
