Avoid Abono Village,Try visiting the Lake through another town

点评：We were happy to visit lake Bosomtwe, it's very attractive, the boat cruise was fun we enjoyed the swimming part also. But we weren't happy with what happened at the gate at the entrance of Abono village.
We had already made enquiries before setting of to see the lake meanwhile we couldn't reach any personnel via phone. We saw on the web that at the entrance of Abono village there is a gate where you have to pay GHC 20 per 'CAR' and receive a ticket issued by the Ghana Tourism Authority so we drew a budget for that. But unfortunately we got there at the entrance with our VIP bus and were charged Ghc20 per 'PERSON' which was unappealing.
We weren't happy with that, were about 50 in the Bus so just imagine the amount of money they took from us..we called it a deceit coz it wasn't right from them I tried calling GTA for clarification and verification but couldn't reach them. We were all unhappy until we got to see and had a feel of the lake......we really enjoyed it but we're still unhappy with what happened at the entrance of Abono village, You can access the lake from surrounding communities aside Abono, I'll recommend Lake Bosomtwe to everyone but not through Abono village!! Have fun 😁
