Golf at Oulton Hall的点评
点评：Have just returned from a two night golf break with two other couples staying at Oulton Hall Hotel. Unfortunately the golf course did not live up to the standard of the Hotel. First look at the course it appeared to be in very good condition but then when playing the course (the course comprised of three eighteen hole courses derived from three nine hole courses) this proved not to be quite the case. The tees were extremely worn, being covered with divot marks, with many also having sparce grass coverage littered with broken and discarded tees. Several of the bunkers had limited sand in the bottom of them and most had quite a lot of club damaging stones visible. Where there was sand, previous players had not taken the time to rake them after trampling around in them showing a either lack of respect or golf etiquette. Whilst the greens looked very good the grass it was very woolly and thought to be some of the slowest greens we had ever played on but, I guess the local members have become accustomed to this and don't see this as an issue. On the plus side the fairways were well manicured and the layout of the holes was scenic and challenging
